Since embodying a Plant-based lifestyle, I’ve incorporated a Celf-discipline method. I enjoy fasting for the sole purposes of cleansing my body and gaining a sense of peace (by eating fruits and vegetables with electric properties). When we think of fasting, some may have the idea that we are not eating anything at all. However, this is not the case as there are many different forms of fasting. Below, I list a few fasting methods, some of which I employ concurrently.

Intermittent Fasting

-Eating only during a certain time of the day (certain number of hours)

-Only consuming herbs & water when during non-eating hours. 


  • 16/8-hour split (Very common start split for new intermittent fasters) 
  • Starting from your rising (8 am), you will only consume raw fruits, herbal teas, and water (until 10 am) 
  • Every 2-4 hours consume a snack  
  • Recommended: (11am) consume a fruit smoothie to give you a boost of energy
  • (1pm -3pm) you may have your last meal. It can be something cooked (ex. Quinoa with steamed kale and side of mushrooms)
  • (4pm) you will be fasting by giving your body a little break in order to digest the foods you have consumed throughout the day
  • Ideally, you may have herbs and water, but you can break Fast with Raw Fruit or Veggies as well

Raw Fasting

- Consists of having only raw fruits or raw veggies

- No cooked food at all. 

-Gives the body a break from processing cooked food 

-Aids in the process of cleaning the body and ridding it of built-up toxins

  • Reduces high blood pressure
  • Lowers cholesterol
  • Contains detoxifying properties 
  • Stimulates the digestive system 
  • Our bodies are able to absorb more nutritional properties from fruits and veggies if they are consumed raw

However, this doesn’t mean boring salads or plain bowls of fruits. Get creative! You can make your own smoothie bowl for example, by blending frozen fruits and veggies and adding fresh raw fruit on top. Most of the time the body is dehydrated as well. This can be solved by consuming spring water alongside herbs or raw fruits and veggies. It is important to hydrate your body from the inside out during fasting and during your day-to-day lives.

One method that works for me is a fully-raw-Alkaline-fast (this also means no cooked food). I enjoy fasting because not only am I flushing out toxins and giving my digestive system a break; I am also gaining clarity and peace within myself. 

Fasting to me is also a form of Celf-discipline that I use to facilitate the improvement and maintenance of my mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual health. It helps me prove to myself that I am so much stronger than my cravings (cravings are usually caused by the parasites in our bodies).

Once you commit your mind to what you want to achieve, the manifestation is powerful. Gain knowledge on your body’s needs versus it’s wants.

I will be providing a step by step routine for you; from your Rising until your Resting. I will be detailing options for what you will consume, list the herbs you’ll be having,explaining to you how to control your cravings and many other important things. I will be helping you feel like a lighter version of yourself and will show you that mind and body discipline can be achieved.
